How to change Primary Email Address in PayPal ?

1) Opening the Paypal Website and Signing into Paypal Account

First of all you need to open the PayPal Website (https://www.paypal.com/). Enter your Credentials(Email Address and Password) to login to your PayPal Account.

2) Proceeding to Account Overview

As soon as you login to your account, at the bottom of the screen you will find a button which says 'Proceed to Account Overview'. Please click on this button.

3) Opening the PayPal Profile

Now you need to click on the Gear Icon at the top Right of the Screen(Just besides Log Out). This will open your PayPal Profile.

4) Proceeding to Add Email Adddress in PayPal Email Addresses Option

Now, at the right hand side you will find Email Addresses. At the top right side of this option you will find the + link. Please click on this + link to Add your new Email Address in PayPal Account.

6) Checking the Email Addresses linked with PayPal Account

As soon as you add a new Email address in PayPal Account, you will be able to see it in the list of associated Email Addresses. You new Email address will show as Unconfirmed(As Shown Below).

You would have got an email from PayPal to confirm your new Email Address. You need to confirm your new Email Address by clicking on the link provided in Email you received from PayPal.

7) Proceeding to confirm Email Address in PayPal

As soon as you click on 'Confirm this email Address' link you will find a message saying 'Check your email to confirm this address'. Check for New Email to Confirm Email Address in PayPal

8) Confirming Email Address in PayPal

Once you click on the link which you have got in your Email from PayPal, you will be redirected to a page where you need to enter your PayPal Password. Click on Confirm Email Address after entering the Password.

9) Checking the Confirmed Email Address in PayPal

Once you have confirmed your Email Address, you need to check whether your Email Address has been Added to your profile or not. You will now be able to see your Email Address in the PayPal Profile.

Now, you can see that the new email address which you added is not your Primary Email Address. So, you need to click on Edit link corresponding to your new Email Address to make your new email address as your Primary Email Address in PayPal.
